Gilt-lacquered Cabinet, Japan, 19th century, the midsection with a pair of door panels decorated in gilt with cartouches enclosing birds and maple trees, with six drawers inside in hiramaki-e design on a red nashij-i ground with maple leaves, the lower section with tea wares, peaches, and Buddha's hand citrons, the top section with multiple small drawers decorated en suite, brass mounts overall, maker's mark to the front, ht. 23, lg. 18, wd. 10 in. Poor condition with many repairs
