Pair of Chippendale Gilt Composition Wall Brackets, mid to late 18th century, the shaped shelf with rocaille rim, the bracket formed as an open C-scroll cartouche centered by hoho birds amidst foliates, ht. 15 1/4, wd. 15 1/4 in. with some losses to gilt gesso and applied details; some gold paint touch-ups and loose elements; scattered repairs; bird wings with cracks. lifting to gesso surface of tops.
