Note: These medallions are listed in the Wedgwood & Bentley 1779 Catalogue, class X, section IV, 52, 58, 60, 61 and 64; class IV, section 33. Provenance: Kanter Collection. Each with slight edge chipping. Subjects include Blaise Pascal; N. Boileau-Despreau; F. de Fenelon; le Vicomte le Turenne and Hugo Grotius. Double sided with titles "Scipion Vainqueuer D'Annibal" and "Rome Donne La Paix a Carthage".
