STONE" faintly l.l., inscribed "6431/ R.A. 1884" on the reverse, with a label from The Pantechnicon, Helgrave Square, London, on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 30 1/4 x 13 5/8 in. (76.9 x 34.5 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, scattered minor retouch, stable craquelure. Minor retouch in landscape surrounding figures. Scattered abrasions. Possible overcleaning in the tress in center. Fine craquelure throughout. Discolored varnish.
