School of Hendrik Goltzius (Dutch, 1558-1617) Town Landscape Unsigned, with labels from the Janet and John E. Marqusee Collection and Kulicke Frames, Inc., New York City, on the backing cardboard. Ink on laid paper, sheet size 4 x 8 in. (10.2 x 20.3 cm), unframed. Condition: Fading, crease u.l., subtle rippling, remnants of backing paper on the reverse. Provenance: Janet and John E. Marqusee Collection, where it was attributed to Jan Brueghel the Elder (Flemish, c. 1528-1569). Soiling u.l. Sheet trimmed to image border. Sheet hinged to window mat with tape in two places.
