Roy DeCarava (American, b. 1919) Paul Robeson, 1950, edition of 50. Signed "ROY DECARAVA 1950" in pencil l.r., numbered "10/50" in pencil l.c. Photogravure on paper, plate size 11 1/2 x 8 1/2 in. (29.1 x 21.4 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Deckled edges. There are two very subtle surface rubs to the image, visible only in raking light. The larger is above the figure's ear, behind his head, and the lesser one is on the figure's lapel. The sheet measures 21 7/8 x 18 inches and is a creamy white.
