Two Papier-mache Squeak-toys, Germany, early 20th century, papier-mache bellows-mounted figures, a flocked composition rabbit, the head bobs when squeezed, and a painted guinea hen figure which wiggles on its spring legs when squeezed, (losses, repairs), ht. 5 1/2, 7 in. Rabbit- losses to much of the flocking,especially around ears, neck collar, bellows does not squeak, fine cracks to papier-mache on neck, shoulder, head by ear, paint losses on platform; Guinea hen- crude hot glue repairs around entire center separation with more extensive cracks on neck, bellows does not squeak, crack on wood panel of bellows.
