French Aesthetic Movement Faience Partial Dinner Service, third quarter 19th century, printed and painted with various designs of flowers, birds, frogs, and other animals, with gilt rims, comprising a soup tureen with apple- and pea-form finial, ht. 7 1/2, a footed open serving bowl, dia. 11 1/4, a footed fruit bowl, dia. 9 3/4, an ovoid celery dish, lg. 10 3/4, a cake plate, dia. 11 1/2, an oval platter, lg. 13, six soup plates, dia. 9 5/8, ten dessert plates, dia. 8 3/4, and ten dinner plates, dia. 9 1/2 in. Fruit bowl with 1 1/2 in. hairline crack to rim. Footed bowl with usage wear. Tureen with old repaired break to one foot. All with crazing and rubbing to gilt.
