Henry Hillier Parker (British, 1858-1930) On the Severn. Near Bridgenorth. Shropshire Signed "Henry H. Parker" l.l., titled and signed "...Henry H. Parker" with a canvas stencil from C. Roberson & Co., London, on the reverse, identified on a label affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 24 x 36 in. (61.0 x 91.4 cm), unframed. Condition: Tear to l.l. quadrant, patch reinforcement, retouch, losses, craquelure, surface grime. Scattered abrasions and paint losses, the major losses and active lifting being located in the l.r. corner in an area measuring about 5 x 2-1/2 inches overall. L-shaped tear to center left side, measuring 1 x 1/2 inch, located 6 inches in from the left side and 11-1/2 inches up from the bottom edge. Retouch to center left edge, corresponding to a patch reinforcement on the reverse. Retouch to lower corners and to an area at lower center edge, measuring about 5 x 2 1/2 inches overall and located 12 inches in from the l.r. corner
