Eugène Louis Gillot (French, 1868-1925) View of Boats Along the Seine Signed "E. L. Gillot" l.l., stamped "Garantie de Provenance/ VENTE J.L. GILLOT" on the reverse. Oil on canvasboard, 10 1/2 x 13 1/2 in. (26.7 x 34.3 cm), framed. Condition: Minor retouch, minor surface grime. A thin, broken line of retouch to u.l., beginning at the corner and stretching about 6 1/2 inches overall. A 1/4 inch diameter dot of retouch to sky in center, about 3 1/2 inches in from the left edge, and small scattered pinpoint-sized dots across the sky and along the left edge. A spot of retouch to lower center measuring 3/4 inch across.
