Oil on panel, 25 x 30 in. (63.5 x 76.2 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, minor skinning, panel screwed into liner on the reverse, minor losses, alligatoring, craquelure, surface grime, varnish inconsistencies. Provenance: Ex-collection Mrs. John Munro Longyear [Mary Hawley Beecher], A Midwestern library. Exhibitions: Concord Annual Exhibition, Second Year, May 1 to 9, 1916. Old dots of retouch beneath varnish layer to area of sitter's decolletage and face; old dashes of retouch over craquelure to sitter's hair; varnish inconsistencies; may benefit from a cleaning; no additional condition issues to report.
