Frederick Charles Richards (British, 1878-1932) Two Italian Views: Siena (Small Plate) , 1912, and The City of Dreams , c. 1927. Signed "F...Richards..." in pencil l.l. and l.r., respectively, and titled in pencil in the lower margin, the former inscribed "First proof pulled by Sir Frank Short" in pencil l.r. Etchings on paper, plate sizes to 7 1/2 x 9 3/4 in. (19.0 x 24.6 cm), framed. Condition: Minor creases, not examined out of frames. The Siena plate measures 6 x 4 3/4 in. Out of the frame the sheet measures 7 1/2 x 5 3/8 in., with hinges at the upper corners, and unpressed creases to image. City has a crease to the lower right corner of the margin near the signature, but has not been removed from the frame.
