John Marin (American, 1870-1953) Sailboat, 1932, edition of 200 printed for the American Artist's Group, 1936 (Zigrosser, 155). Signed and dated within the plate, stamp from AAG on the reverse. Etching on paper, plate size 7 x 9 1/4 in. (17.7 x 23.4 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Margins 2 3/4 inches or more, toning, staining, masking tape to upper corners. The sheet measures 13 x 18 3/8 inches. There is a diagonal crease to the left and upper margins, but it does not effect the image. The toning is even. The staining includes mat burn and marks from old tape or similar
