English, late 19th/early 20th century. Black lacquered stand topped with rectangular wood surface with rounded edges decorated with two figures on an island at lower center (one with an umbrella) in a garden setting with architectural elements scattered throughout, gilt floral decoration in corners. Top raised on a stacked quadripartite base composed of scrolled feet with gilt accent banding. Height 28.5 inches, width 21 inches, depth 16.2 inches.
