Neoclassical George IV Gold-washed Silver Covered Urn, Birmingham, 1827-28, Matthew Boulton, maker, the domed lid with finial of grapes and grape leaves above acanthus leaves, the body with over hanging lip and frieze decorated with grapes and grape leaves, scrolled handles, and further acanthus leaf decoration to waist and foot, on square base, ht. 14 3/4 in., approx. 109.9 troy oz. In good condition with no evidence of any damages or restorations.
