Four-panel Wallpaper Floor Screen, France, early 19th century, with a scene of figures in a library, each panel 67 x 17 3/4 in. Front has flaking and loss to area. Where front panels have met the frame there are large cracks (and related flaking and loss) particularly along the upper top and side sections. One panel has streaks of pigment discoloration to bottom portion consistent with water damage. The back panels have some flaking and loss particularly to painted frame.
