Barye (French, 19th century) Bronze Figure of a Panther, modeled devouring the bones of its prey, dark brown/green patina, inscribed signature, lg. 12 in. In very good condition throughout with no evidence of any damages or restorations. It is possible that this could be the work of Alfred Barye and not his father Antoine-Louis.
