Galed Gesner (American, 1915-1960) Flowering Pewter . Signed "Galed Gesner" u.r., titled, dated, and signed ".../1947/G. Gesner" on the reverse, identified on a presentation plaque. Oil on canvas, 18 x 12 in., framed. Condition: Dent to canvas u.l. quadrant, craquelure, varnish inconsistencies, surface grime. Dent to upper left measuring about 1/4 inch long and located about 1 inch above the top of the spout. The dent can be felt in the canvas on the reverse, and while there is a crack in the paint surface, there is no paint loss visible.
