Green-painted Slat-back Armchair, possibly Delaware River Valley, mid-18th century, five arched slats, shaped arms, vase- and ring-turned arm supports continuing to legs joined by bulbous front stretcher, repainted, ht. 44, seat ht. 16 in. The chair has been repainted green and "antiqued," there is a plug in the back of the left arm on the stile, front seat rail dowelled right through to the arm supports (a later repair), one final in all likelihood replaced, one handhold with gouges, a couple of the slats are rough.
