Wallpaper-covered Hatbox, America, c. 1835, the oval box depicting "castles in Spain" in white and amber against a tan background; the lid with three sheep in a pasture, (imperfections), ht. 10 1/8, lg. 15 1/4, dp. 11 3/4 in. Edgewear on lid with some losses; Two small holes in side of box about three-quarters of the way up; edgewear at base.
