Hananiah Harari (American, 1912-2000) Lot of Three Scenes (Possible Set Designs) Each signed and dated "Harari 39" Tempera on paper with an applied grid of 1 1/4 in. squares in pencil, 9 x 9 in., matted, unframed. Condition: Wear to edges, each with staining to the reverse. N.B. A copy of a program from 1939 from the Chatham Square Music School, New York City, accompanies the lot (taped into one of the mats). It describes a performance of Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne for which Hananiah Harari is listed as Scenic Director. Part of a painted scenic backdrop may be seen in the photograph of the cast.
