Mahogany Sweep Seconds Tall Clock by William Gammon, Birmingham, England, c. 1820, painted iron inscribed Gammon Birmingham with Roman numerals, calendar dial and moon's age in the arch, eight-day time and strike movement with sweep-center seconds and calendar, pendulum and powered by two iron weights, elaborately inlaid case with reeded columns capped with Corinthian capitals with lining, banding, crotch mahogany panels and segmented inlays throughout all on a bracket foot base with scalloped apron, ht. 101 in.
