Federal Mahogany Tall Clock by Aaron Willard, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1790, with 12-inch painted iron "Wilson" dial signed Warranted by Aaron Willard , pierced fret top, brass fluted columns flanking the glazed hood and rectangular waist doors, the waist and base with fan and line inlays, all on a two-stage base molding and ogee feet, eight-day time and hour strike movement powered by two iron weights and regulated by a brass faced pendulum bob and iron rod, ht. 98 1/2 in. No significant repairs or replacements, original fret, plinths, finials and ogee feet, blocking on base essentially intact, two replacement glue blocks, iron weights and pendulum are both period components, dial blacking relined.
