Redware Jar and Cake Crock, probably New England, early 19th century, ovoid jar with lug handles decorated with brown splotches, and round straight-sided cake crock with reeded rim and molded hand-holds, streaked and spotted with brown manganese, the interior with brown spots and green streaks, (rim chips), ht. 8 1/4, 3 3/8, crock rim dia. 8 in. Jar- a few minute chips on rim and handle edgs, unobtrusive light scratches about the sides; crock -several old rim chips, minute in size to 3/4 in. most are shallow, minor angled hairline to interior side.
