Oil on unstretched canvas, 58 3/4 x 65 3/4 in. (149.0 x 167.0 cm), unframed. Condition: Staple marks around perimeter. Provenance: Gift from the artist and the International AIDS Society to Elizabeth Taylor, then by gift to a mutual friend of the present owner; private collection, Massachusetts. N.B. This painting was given to Elizabeth Taylor in July, 1992, at the VIII International Conference on AIDS in Amsterdam in recognition of her contribution to global AIDS awareness and her courage in taking up the cause of developing nations in their fight against the pandemic. Ms. Taylor reportedly added her own signature to the painting in the lower left quadrant. Several extremely minute paint adhesion to acetate overwrap.
