Harold Eugene Edgerton (American, 1903-1990) Lot of Three Images of Balls: Football Kick, Iron and Golf Ball, and Baseball and Bat. The first two with the artist's stamp on the reverse. Gelatin silver prints, image sizes to 10 1/2 x 8 1/4 in. (26.5 x 20.8 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Extremely subtle surface imprefections (possibly caused by moisture), minor handling creases to Iron. All with minor curling to sheets. Iron with creases, primarily to the center and upper left, as well as surface rubs near the right side of the image. Baseball with surface imperfections, as though the surface was misted with something, resulting in tiny dots visible when the image is viewed obliquely. PROVENANCE: From the artist to the family of the present owner.
