Aaron Siskind (American, 1903-1991) Maine 1, 1949. Signed "Aaron Siskind" in ball point pen on the reverse, titled and dated in pencil on the reverse. Gelatin silver print, image size 13 7/8 x 19 1/2 in. (35.2 x 49.5 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Unmounted, creases near corners effecting the image, especially l.r. There are creases into the image at both the upper and lower right corners, plus minor wear to the other two corners in the margins. There is a stain to the lower margin and within the image l.l. The sheet has very minor handling creases and is cockled at the edges. PROVENANCE: A private Massachusetts collection.
