Continental Painted Pine Trunk, dated "1813," the hinged rectangular top with floral bouquets within painted frames, the decoration repeated on the front along with worn initials and date, the sides sponge-decorated, on shaped feet, ht. 25, wd. 47 3/4, dp. 27 1/4 in. Wear and loss to paint, especially on lid, horizontal crack running length of lid, chips and nicks along edges, scratches and abrasions to surface.
