Austrian . 800 Silver Filigree Tower-form Spice Container, Vienna, third quarter 19th century, with rectangular body and peaked roof, composed of wirework scrolling filigree, roof with single pennant below circular finial, body mounted with four small pennants, with single door opening to interior fitted with a single bell, raised on four slender, concave twisted wire legs joined by filigree roundels, on rectangular filigree base and demilune feet, ht. 10 1/4 in., approx. 6 troy oz. indistinct maker's mark (possibly JB). small spot of filigree missing from round finial. minor bends to legs. possible old solder thouch-up to join of one leg to base, and join of that foot to base. minor overall age wear.
