Three Piece Victorian Silver Tea Set, Dublin, 1841, James Fray, maker, melon-shaped teapot, creamer, and open sugar, engraved with diapered cartouches and floral pendants, the teapot with melon-shaped lid finial, and ear handles with rocaille terminals, teapot ht. 6 3/4 in., approx. 46 troy oz. marks OK (creamer marks a little rubbed, but still visible). teapot with restorations along top rim and near hinge; two light horizontal body dings; handle a little loose; wear to engraving; surface (and engraving) showing signs of machine polishing. creamer and sugar also with wear to engraving. sugar with a few light body dings and pinpoints. creamer with a tiny footrim ding.
