Carl Kauba (American/Austrian, 1865-1922) Dancer, an Art Nouveau patinated bronze female figure, modeled as an exotic dancer holding castanets, with hinged dress opening to reveal nude form, dark brown/copper patina, incised "C. Kauba," upon a rouge marble base set with bronze knobs, total ht. 13 3/4 in. Scratches to patina on body, likely from taking dress on and off. Pin in dress hinge replaced, areas of polish on edges and creases of dress.
