Pietro Torrini (Italian, 1852-1920) Abbey Monks' Choir Signed "Pietro Torrini" u. l. Oil on canvas, 17 3/4 x 41 3/4 in. (45.1 x 106.1 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure. Retouch to center in a reverse L-shaped area measuring 3 1/2 in. high and a total of 4 in. across, located in the vestments of the pair of monks in the center and extending through the younger monk's chin. Small "X" shaped area at far right center on the monk's sleeve and along the right edge to cover a frame abrasion. Other minor scattered retouch. Fine stable craquelure.
