Birds-eye Maple Hooded Cradle

Birds-eye Maple Hooded Cradle, New England, early 19th century, refinished, ht. 25, lg. 41, wd. 16 in.; together with a small 19th century basket pattern crib quilt, 27 x 27 in. Quilt- basket pattern quilt, probably 1860-1880, all hand-stitched, fairly crudely, with outline and parallel quilting stitches which when turned over, looks like there might be a later backing on it because there are only rough large diamond outline stitches with a different color thread. On the quilt face some of the brown floral fabric and peachy-tan fabric is frayed.
