South Boston Needlework Sampler, dated 1822, worked in silk threads on a linen ground, with alphabets above a house, and inscription "South Boston Aged 8 Yrs. 1822." flanked by flower baskets and beehives, enclosed in a geometric floral border, (minor toning and fading, small loss l.c.), 21 x 15 1/2 in. Sampler was cleaned, probably some stitches were removed at some point in time under alphabets and probable name above south Boston inscription.
