Yellow Bandbox with Steam Locomotive Pattern, America, c. 1835, rectangular box with rounded corners, the cover and sides ornamented with locomotives, passenger cars, loads of wood , figures, trees, and houses, in red and green varnish on a yellow ground, restored, (imperfections), ht. 11 1/2, wd. 14 1/2, lg. 17 3/4 in. Lid rim replaced, with some separations to band, top is faded, sides with minor creases, tears ans small paper losses..
