Archaistic Jade Ewer, China, 19th century, the rounded midsection carved with archaistic scrolls, resting of a short spreading foot, with a chilong carved in relief as curled under the straight ruyi -shaped handle and around the elongated neck, with its head peering over the flaring mouth, a phoenix-handle with loose ring beneath the sprout, with leiwen border along the foot and spout, the stone of a pale-celadon color with very minor inclusions to one side, ht. 6 3/8 in. in good condition
