English Stationery Cabinet, c. 1875, sloped top with finely figured walnut veneer opening to reveal upper removable calendar compartment, above five divided rows for stationery, and a pen compartment with tilt cover; doors with a white writing slant and the other with crisscrossed ribboning, also with lower drawer with enclosed retail label from "Gerald Mathias, London," ht. 13, wd. 15, dp. 10 3/4 in. Inner compartments with very slight usage wear. Sloped lid with small vertical crack, two larger horizontal cracks and small (3/4 in) loss to veneer. Key included.
