William IV Writing Table, England, c. 1840, finely veneered in amboyna wood with calamander banding to the top surface above three molded frieze drawers, raised on tapering yew wood legs with a lobed upper and lower collar, and terminating in brass casters, ht. 28 3/4, wd. 45 1/8, dp. 21 5/8 in. Provenance: Purchased at Mallett, London, by current consigner. Original receipt accompanies this lot. Sun related fading to veneered top surface and sides. One upper lobed collar repaired. Slight crack in veener to back corner.
