Russian Silver Teapot, St. Petersburg, 1826, maker's mark cursive Latin, possibly "CIH," Michael Karpinsky, assayer, 84 zolotnik standard, the rectangular domed and lobed lid topped by wood finial, over conforming body with floral frieze, with wood handle, ht. 6 1/4 in., approx. 17.3 troy oz. Handle replaced. Spout and foot misshapen from usage wear. Repairs to foot. Scattered surface abrasions. No dents.
