Scandinavian Silver Footed Spice Box, probably Denmark, late 18th/early 19th century, maker's mark "MP," surmounted by a paste-inset finial, with hinged baluster-shaped body decorated with husk swags and foliage, gold-washed accents, on ovoid foot with hinged cover enclosing a second compartment, monograms to medallions on body and foot, ht. 3 1/8 in., approx. 1.2 oz. Goldwash rubbed.
