Pol Bury (Belgian, 1922-2005) 15 billes d'acier sur un cube Titled, numbered, and signed "... 2/8 Pol Bury" engraved beneath the cube. Graduated stainless steel balls, chromed steel cube, electric motor, magnets, cube size 11 13/16 x 11 13/16 x 11 13/16 in. (30.0 x 30.0 x 30.0 cm), ball sizes from 2 1/4 to 1 in. (5.7 to 2.5 cm) diameter, set upon a laminated chipboard plinth. Condition: Missing one ball, minor surface abrasions. Provenance: Purchased from the Makler Gallery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, February 4, 1970, invoice no. 2202. N.B. A copy of the original invoice accompanies the lot. Fully operational motor with an on/off switch on cord.
