Simka Simkhovitch (Russian/American, 1893-1949) Flowers and Peaches Signed "Simka Simkhovitch" l. r., titled and signed on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 22 1/4 x 18 in. (56.4 x 45.9 cm), framed. Condition: Craquelure, surface grime. Provenance: Through the collection of Sonya Simkhovitch, daughter of the artist. Old tacks and remnants of labels affixed to the stretcher. Only one with any text left reads "...ART WEEK/..." Subtle canvas rippling and stretcher bar marks to top and right sides. Craquelure primarily to left side and in background. Craquelure appears stable.
