Salvador Dalí (Spanish, 1904-1989) LES AMOUREUX/ A Portfolio of Three Images, 1978-1979, total edition of 1,070 (Löpsinger & Michler, 1563, 1565 & 1568; Field, 79-7). Each signed "Dali" in pencil l.r. and numbered "195/350" in pencil l.l. Color offset lithographs on paper, image sizes 22 x 17 3/8 in. (55.8 x 44.2 cm), each print plus an accompanying certificate framed, the original portfolio cover and colophon accompany the lot. Condition: Wear to cover, not examined out of frames. N.B. According to Löpsinger & Michler, Les Amoureux was released as two portfolios of three prints each. This set includes Garden of Eden, Les Amoureux (Lancelot and Guinevere) , and Anthony and Cleopatra . Five loose colophon pages in good condition, one with stray red crayon mark l.c. Portfolio with soiling to cover, possible water damage to back of portfolio along the top edge where cloth surface shows darkening and is not fully adhered. Size of the portfolio is 31 x 23 1/4 x 1/2 inches. Three framed prints plus one framed colophon page (Certificate of Authenticity) all in good condition. Anthony and Cleopatra was partially opened enough to reveal that the print is not laid down and is hinged to the window mat with linen tape. The frame dimensions are 34 1/4 x 26 x 1 1/4 in.
