Christopher P. James (American, b. 1947) Four Works: Glass Ceiling #9 , 1977; Union Boat Club, Boston , 1981; Carpet , 1977; and Chair/Shadow #2 , 1977. Each titled, dated, and signed "...Christopher James" l.l. and l.r. in pencil on the mat, three identified on labels affixed to the paper backing. Hand-enameled gelatin silver prints, sight sizes to 5 1/4 x 9 in., each framed. Condition: Not examined out of frames. Note: James is best known for his alternative photography process images. He earned degrees at the Massachusetts College of Art and the Rhode Island School of Design. He was a professor at Harvard University from 1978 through 1991 and is currently professor and Chair of Photography at The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University.
