Satinwood-inlaid Mahogany Stick Barometer, Holborn, London, early 19th century, the urn-form finial and broken pediment over a glazed door, enclosing a signed silvered dial numbered "294," with single scale alcohol thermometer and sliding vernier with scale of 27-31, the case with exposed tube and turned cistern cover, ht. 38 in. Break to alcohol thermometer. Loss to veneer on bottom of door frame. Cistern cover possibly replaced. Loss to wood surrounding finial screw. Cracks and chips to broken pediment.
