Salt-glazed Stoneware Jar, attributed to Frederick Carpenter, Boston, early 19th century, ovoid three-gallon jar with open loop handles, brown bands around the shoulder and base, impressed "BOSTON 313 3/4 in. " on the shoulder, Albany slip-glazed interior, (imperfections), ht. 12 1/2 in. three hairlines: 5 in. hairline from rim just left of "BOSTON" mark, long line mid bulge to base, small one lower side, several chips to base edge and a large chip to underside of base.
