Hand-painted Silk Masonic Apron, America, late 18th/early 19th century, hand-painted designs with gilt highlights, depicting numerous symbols and references to the Masonic Order, the top flap painted with the All-seeing Eye over a compass, square, several mason's tools, open bible and symbolic bible references, sun, moon, seven stars, the "Pillars at the Entrance to King Solomon's Temple," and many others, bordered with pastel blue silk fringe, (minor imperfections), approx. 16 1/2 x 18 1/2 in. silk ribbon tie detached from one side, minor toning, stains (more prevelent on the reverse), some fraying to the blue ribbon lining the top.
