Diminutive Grain-painted Maple and Pine Tavern Table, New Hampshire, mid-18th century, grain-painted overhanging top above a drawer and straight beaded skirt joining block-, vase-, and ring-turned legs on turned feet with box stretcher, early surface, (minor imperfections), ht. 24 3/4, top wd. 28, top dp. 17 3/4 in. Provenance: Purchased from Randy Loomis, owner of Andersons Antiques, Hopkinton, New Hampshire. Randy found it in a house in Concord, New Hampshire, and called to ask if we wanted to buy it before he stripped all the paint off. shrinkage cracks in top.
