Federal Red-stained Carved Maple and Tiger Maple Veneer Chest of Drawers, possibly Newport, New Hampshire, c. 1825, the top with ovolo corners above quarter-engaged pineapple- and spiral-carved posts continuing to turned legs and feet, original brass pulls, original surface, (very minor wear), ht. 42, wd. 40 1/4, dp. 18 1/4 in. Provenance: Found in a house in Newport, New Hampshire.
