Antoine-Louis Barye (French, 1795-1875) Ours debout No. 2 [Standing Bear No. 2] Signed "Barye" within the cast on the base in front of the bear's left foot. Bronze with brown patina, height 9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm), base approximately 5 1/8 x 3 in. (12.8 x 7.5 cm). Condition: Minor oxidation to the base, dust and dirt to interstices.
